The proposed design would involve constructing a dense array of adobe buildings on what are currently gathering spaces inside of the park. The layout is already set up in a way that this could easily be done to create shaded streets.
The rainwater basins currently placed on the site would shade the structures from the other side and could be retrofitted for food production.
The structures could also be equipped with rainwater harvesting equipment pointed towards the dilapidated community garden to remake it into a source of relatively consistent food, something which has been made clear is a priority due to recent supply chain issues between here and California.
